It wouldn’t be much of a Nat’l Poetry Month without shouting out tha man, tha myth, and tha legend that is William Shakespeare…
Perhaps many of you are familiar with the Shakespeare Sonnet-A-Day website and emailing list??? Well if you are not, it is a great way to receive insightful classic poetry directly to your email inbox. It does not actually come every day either – so as to not clutter your inbox, they send about three a week i think. (My father would say it is eithrer three or it isn’t three, and he would be right, I suppose… but i digress…)
Well I’m off to host the Underground Poetry Spot again. Tonight my favortite up and coming emcee and lyricist will be burning up tha stage. Jack Brown, of Syracuse’s very own Sophistafunk…Jack is a graduate of SU and Sophistafunk’s frontman, a band that infuses hip-hop and funk with Jack’s witty raps.
