Big Boi – Shutterbug

Check out this new track from 1/2 of Outkast, Big Boi.

Daddy Fat Sacks recently leaked this single off his upcoming album, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty.

But our sites are set on whether Dr.Dre will really come through and drop the first cut off of Detox in the next couple weeks. The track titled “Under Pressure” featuring Jay-Z could arrive as early as tomorrow, some reports say.

If that is indeed the case, beware of the monkeys that will be flying out of our ass.

a verse a day keeps tha doctor away

OK so maybe we wouldn’t mind seeing any of these doctors…

It’s DAY 3 of Nat’l Poetry Month & tha best way i know to remind you, is for me to write at least ”a Verse a Day” from here on out, throughout all of APRIL…this one was inspired by listening to Sam Cooke’s Wonderful World“…

What a world this would be,
if we all
could live in peace.
We walk common streets
but march to unique beats;
We hustle through tha struggle
cause us people have to eat,
and act too much like animals -
too quick to show our teeth;
But it seems whatever’s clever
when we are after that treasure
So how could tha world ever be free?

I was out at Sophistications last night, where my man World B. Free was holdin it down like he do. Of course he gave a shout out, so I did my thing & performed Wake Up To Daylight with tha whole damn band – I think i’m getting better at working with live musicians – admittedly, i’ve learned a bit from some of tha other performers i’ve paid attention to lately…& i had a good chat with an old poet/new friend…

While undeniably unique in his own right, this dude Antonio struck a chord with me last night- instantly – by inadvertently reminding me of one of my favortite hip-hop philospohers from my youth: Jeru The Damaja…and the Black Cowboys track…number 3 on Wrath of The Math, c’mon now. I don’t have time to get into all the reasons why i may or may not have been able to relate to all of Jeru’s themes, but let’s just say i was feelin it. That whole CD definitely deserves recognition in my ongoing list of inspirational credits. I’ve never actually seen Jeru, but a good friend actually had him sign a CD for me once – so if u out there Jeru – thanx for tha inspiration my friend.

Aww, We Looked

In an effort to try to forget the disgrace that was the ‘Cuse game, let us move on to this.

What the hell is going on here? Diggy raps? And he is good? WTH!? Aww Jo Jo, say it ain’t so.

We enjoyed the show when it was going well, but Diggy was always the annoying squirmy ADHD kid in the background. Congrats to whoever got him on his meds for this video. And since when did he go from 5 to 15yrs old?

Anyway, whatever his age, he does know how to pick a beat. and the Mac Book line was ill.

You Have Arrived At Your Destinashizzle

Here’s a interview with Snoop from the Daily Show.

We have to get our hands on one of these nav systems.

Imagine jumping in your car at the crack of dawn, trying to find the nearest coffee shop. Snoop greets you with something like…

“We want people who hate to lose, like myself. Now marinate on that.”

That would get us to work on time everyday, no doubt about it.
