Take a minute to listen to one of the best diss records of all time.
“Second Round K.O.” was written by an up and coming artist named Can-i-bus and produced by Wyclef Jean back in 1998.
After a dispute with superstar LL Cool J, he found himself waist deep in a beef which ultimately ended his career. You can watch the whole story on how it started here.
Second Round K.O. has a flow that is seriously meticulous. Thus earning it a spot among the MIC THA GREATEST…
“You better give me the respect that I deserve or I’ma take it by force Blast you with a 45 colt, make you somersault Shock you with a couple hundred thousand volt thunderbolts Before you wanted a war, now you wanna talk It’s about who strikes the hardest, not who strikes first That’s why I laugh when I hear that wack ass verse That sh*t was the worse [pause] rhyme I ever heard in my life cause the greatest rapper of all time died on March 9th”
…’Bus also gets credit for gettin’ Mike Tyson in his video!
Too bad Sensei Ty didn’t bring that tiger with him, although I did see a panther in there!
Please, tell us you saw “The Hangover”, it’s funniest movie ever!!
Good to see some traffic moving through here lately. Hope you all have been enjoying the poems and the website.
We were trying to find an embeddable version of the new “Funny the Way It Is”, which turned out to be quite a pain in the ass. Then we came across this ol’ video that brought some memories back. The lyrics are definitely very poetic, and hopefully will get your wheels spinning this morning.
There is a rumor that this video was shot in Central New York, but we were unable to verify that online. Anyone know for sure?
Also let us know if you checked out MTP at Thorndon Park last night. Leave us a comment and let us know what you thought of the show.
It’s cookin’ up to be a hot summer. Info on some really exciting events and more poetry are coming soon…
